FIA arrests 5 suspects

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore has arrested five suspects involved in migrant smuggling and visa fraud during various operations.

The arrested suspects include Luqman, Israr Ahmed, Ehtesham-ul-Haq, Afzal Ahmed and Abdul Khaliq.

The suspects were arrested from different areas of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad and Azad Kashmir.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the suspects stole a total of Rs 14.174 crore by deceiving citizens with work visas abroad.

The FIA says that the suspect Ehtesham-ul-Haq was wanted by the FIA Lahore since 2023. The arrested suspects failed to send the citizens abroad and went into hiding after receiving the money.
