FIA arrests human trafficking suspect in Multan crackdown

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Multan Zone, has intensified its ongoing crackdown on proclaimed offenders and human smugglers under the directives of Director General Dr. Usman Anwar and Director FIA Multan Zone Hamad-ur-Rehman.

In a significant operation, the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Multan conducted a successful raid in Mian Channu, leading to the arrest of a key suspect allegedly involved in human trafficking.

The accused, identified as Muhammad Zubair Saeed, son of Muhammad Saeed, was wanted in connection with FIR No. 01/2024. According to officials, the suspect allegedly defrauded a complainant of Rs.

410,000 on the pretext of arranging an employment visa for Saudi Arabia, but failed to provide the promised documentation or job placement.

FIA officials confirmed that the suspect is currently under investigation, with further inquiries underway to trace additional links and identify potential accomplices involved in the fraudulent visa network.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to dismantling human smuggling networks and ensuring strict legal action against those exploiting citizens under the guise of overseas employment opportunities.
