FIA, DRAP seal 20 shops, arrest 21 in crackdown on illegal medicines sale

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency Corporate Crime Circle, in a joint targeted operation with the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, sealed 20 shops and arrested 21 individuals in Denso Hall over the alleged illegal sale of medicines.

According to an FIA spokesperson on Wednesday, the operation was conducted on secret information in the Denso Hall market where shopkeepers were allegedly involved in selling “Not for Sale” medicine samples as well as medicines meant for underprivileged people.

The spokesperson said the arrested shopkeepers did not possess any valid licences for the sale of medicines.

During the raid, medicines worth millions of rupees were recovered, the spokesperson added.

The FIA said action would also be taken against the illegal network and facilitators involved in the trade.
