FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad Zone along with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has launched a coordinated crackdown to ensure uninterrupted supply of petroleum products and conducted joint inspection of oil storage depots and installations amid evolving regional conditions.
According to FIA officials, Director FIA Faisalabad Zone Malik Sikandar Hayat supervised the operation undertaken in compliance with directives of the Government of Pakistan to safeguard fuel availability and prevent any disruption in supply chains.
During operation, FIA teams in collaboration with OGRA authorities visited multiple storage facilities of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to assess stock levels, supply mechanisms and adherence to official guidelines regarding petroleum reserves.
During inspection, FIA officials carried out a detailed scrutiny of stock positions, record-keeping and implementation of safety and regulatory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The teams also ensured that no illegal hoarding, artificial shortage or unauthorized stocking was taking place at any facility.
FIA authorities made it clear that zero-tolerance policy is being enforced strictly under government directives and any violation would invite indiscriminate legal action.
The move is part of broader efforts to maintain market stability and ensure availability of petroleum products to consumers without interruption across the Faisalabad region, the officials added.
