FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) The district administration launched crackdown against transporters and imposed fine of Rs.703,500 on the drivers involved in fare overcharging on Eid-ul-Fitr.

A spokesman for the district administration said on Sunday that under supervision of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir, Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Adil Umar, along with Secretary District Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Rashid Ali, carried out extensive operations across passenger transport stands and major highways.
