Firing incidents in Hangu, Swat: 3 killed, 2 injured

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) At least three people were killed and two others injured in firing incidents reported from the districts of Hangu and Swat on Saturday.

According to police, in Hangu, an exchange of fire took place between two groups near the Tablighi Markaz within the jurisdiction of City Police Station. Police said two people were killed while one sustained injuries in the incident.

Hangu police stated that both groups involved were close relatives and the clash reportedly erupted over a domestic dispute.

In a separate incident in Swat, firing occurred outside the Central Hospital in Saidu Sharif. As a result, a man was killed while his brother was injured.

Police acted swiftly and arrested the suspect involved in the Swat incident. Similar to Hangu, the Swat firing was also the result of a family dispute. Police have registered cases and launched further investigations.
