First Pakistani Hajj flight reaches Madinah for Hajj 1447 AH; 155 pilgrims warmly received

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) The first flight carrying Pakistani Hajj pilgrims for Hajj 1447 AH arrived in Madinah from Karachi on Saturday, where 155 pilgrims were accorded a warm and dignified reception.

An official told APP that Director General Hajj Jeddah Abdul Wahab Soomro, Director Madinah Zahid Suhail, Coordinator Madinah Kashif Hussain and Director Makkah Muhammad Arif Aslam Rao received the pilgrims at the airport.

The pilgrims were welcomed with flowers and gifts, while traditional Saudi hospitality, including duff performances, added to the spiritual and festive atmosphere.

Upon arrival, the pilgrims were transported to their accommodations in the Markaziyah area, where quality residential arrangements had already been ensured for their comfort and convenience.

Nusuk cards were issued to the pilgrims immediately to facilitate their movement and enable them to perform religious rituals without any difficulty.

Under special arrangements, the pilgrims were served refreshments including dates and beverages, along with a quality breakfast, reflecting the commitment of the authorities to ensure a comfortable start to their sacred journey.

Senior officials personally supervised the arrangements to ensure smooth handling of all matters and maintenance of high standards.

The pilgrims expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony and the Pakistan Hajj Mission, saying the facilities from departure to arrival were well-organized and reassuring.

Officials added that similar comprehensive arrangements had been put in place for upcoming flights, with close coordination among all departments to ensure provision of quality services to every pilgrim.
