Five bikers injured in separate road accidents

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Five motorcyclists were injured in two separate road accidents caused by over-speeding and negligent driving, rescuers said on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122 Punjab,the first incident took place near Sahu Jatoi, Basti Bela where a speeding motorcycle slipped off an under-construction bridge after hitting a speed breaker.

As a result, three riders identified as Muhammad Younis, Javed and Imran,r/o tehsil Jatoi sustained injuries.

All injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital for treatment.

In another incident on Alipur road,a loader rickshaw collided with a motorcycle from behind leaving two riders injured.

The injured were identified as Jahanzeb and Babar r/o Jahanian and Khan Garh respectively.

Police said initial investigations suggest the accident occurred due to wrong crossing by the loader rickshaw driver.

Separate cases have been registered while further investigations was underway.
