WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Police in Wah Cantt on Thursday registered a case against five individuals, including the owner of a private housing society, over alleged negligence leading to the death of a nine-year-old boy at a construction site.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the tragedy occurred in Block F of New City Phase-II, where the child, identified as Subhan Khattak, fell into an uncovered borehole while playing near an under-construction plot. The FIR was filed by the victim’s father, Ahmed Nawaz.
The accused include the site owner, contractor, drilling machine operator, and officials of the housing society.
The case has been registered under Sections 322 (punishment for qatl-bis-sabab) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code, citing collective negligence.
Police confirmed that two of the accused—the site owner and contractor—have been arrested, while efforts continue to apprehend the remaining suspects. Authorities stated that the case will proceed through legal channels, with the courts determining liability after a thorough investigation.
