LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two passengers and three agents at Allama Iqbal International Airport after foiling a human smuggling attempt under the guise of visit visas on Monday.
According to a spokesperson,the arrested passengers,identified as Shahzaib Riaz and Mirza Usman, were found suspicious during immigration clearance.
During initial questioning, they revealed a plan to travel illegally to Albania via the Sri Lanka and Cambodia route.
The suspects disclosed that they had paid Rs.2 million each to agents namely as Tayyab,Khalid and Kashif Ali for arranging their illegal travel.
Acting on their identification,immigration authorities conducted a raid in the airport parking area and arrested the three agents involved in the operation.
All five accused have been handed over to the Anti-Human smuggling circle Lahore for further investigation,spokesperson added.
