Five killed in Hattar industrial estate fire

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) At least five people were killed after a fire broke out at Hattar Industrial Estate in Haripur, according to Rescue 1122 Haripur.

The fire at the Hattar gas pipeline has been brought under control; however, nearby residential houses were engulfed by the flames. Initial reports confirm that five people were burned to death, while several others were rescued alive.

Rescue 1122 continues its search and rescue operation at the site.

The blaze reportedly erupted in a factory within Hattar Industrial Estate. According to unverified local sources, the fire was caused by a gas leak, which quickly spread and engulfed the facility.

Soon after the incident, rescue teams were dispatched. Initial firefighting efforts were launched, and seven fire vehicles along with firefighters were sent from Mansehra, Abbottabad, Mardan, and Swabi.
