Five Lady Willingdon Hospital doctors dismissed in video scandal

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) The Punjab Health Department has taken strict disciplinary action against five doctors of Lady Willingdon Hospital in connection with a video scandal, terminating their postgraduate training with immediate effect over charges of criminal negligence, misconduct, and violation of SOPs.

According to official details, the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical education, in continuation of its earlier orders issued on March 27 and 28, 2026, acted under clause 13.2 of the Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) for Postgraduate Residency (PGR) / Level-III Programs to enforce the decision.

The affected doctors include Dr. Tayyaba Fatima Toor (FCPS Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Dr. Maham Amin (MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Dr. Zainab Tahir (FCPS Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Dr.

Ayesha Afzal (FCPS Obstetrics and Gynaecology), and Dr. Amna Rashid (FCPS Obstetrics and Gynaecology).

The department has also forwarded the orders to the President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, the President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, and other relevant authorities for further necessary action.

Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique stated that strict enforcement of discipline in hospitals will continue to ensure uninterrupted and quality treatment for patients.

Punjab Health Secretary Azmat Mahmood reiterated that elements disrupting the hospital environment have no place in the health department, adding that ensuring a safe and professional environment for patients remains the government’s top priority.
