The visit included Muhammad Kashif and Rescue 1122 representatives, as the team reviewed the dam’s structural strength, water flow, and overall safety arrangements.

During the inspection, the deputy commissioner directed the irrigation department to ensure timely repair and reinforcement of the Chenab River embankments to effectively tackle any emergency. She also instructed rescue and allied departments to remain on high alert, keeping machinery and resources fully prepared.

Emphasizing that safeguarding lives and property remains the administration’s top priority, she noted that proactive and preventive measures are being undertaken to address possible flood threats.
