PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation Riaz Khan has inaugurated a flood protection project in District Buner.
According to an official statement, the project has been completed in the Beeshoni area of Buner at a cost of Rs 142 million. The inauguration ceremony was attended by local officials and relevant department representatives.
Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister said that the flood protection wall will help safeguard the area from future flood risks.
He added that the rehabilitation of areas affected by previous floods remains among the government’s top priorities.
He further stated that development work is being carried out at an accelerated pace in various areas of Buner, including Beeshoni, Qadar Nagar, Batai, and Chagharzi.
The minister said the project will play an important role in protecting lives and property, adding that there will be no compromise on transparency and quality in development projects.
He reiterated that the provincial government is committed to providing public facilities and ensuring rehabilitation, and that coordinated efforts are being made to resolve public issues.
