Flour supply remains uninterrupted across the province

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) The Punjab food Department on Monday said that the supply of flour across the province remained uninterrupted and that there was no shortage in the market.

A spokesperson for the department said that flour mills in Punjab had procured wheat from the private sector and after milling, supplied 258,564 bags of 10 kg and 203,991 bags of 20 kg to districts across the province.

The spokesperson said the Punjab government was continuously monitoring the situation to ensure the uninterrupted availability of quality flour for consumers.

He said flour mills across the province were operating normally, while all necessary measures were being taken to maintain adequate flour stocks and ensure a smooth supply chain.

The spokesperson said wheat procurement was helping farmers receive fair prices for their produce, adding that the government was continuing to take all necessary measures to safeguard farmers' interests.

He said the government would not allow any disruption in the supply of flour to the public, adding that the relevant authorities remained active against hoarding and profiteering and were taking legal action in accordance with the law.
