Food Minister inaugurates Quaid-e-Azam Nursing College, Hostel in Ziarat

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) Balochistan Minister for Food and Chairman Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) Haji Noor Muhammad Khan Dummar formally inaugurated the Quaid-e-Azam Nursing College and Hostel in Ziarat on Monday.

The inauguration ceremony is being described as an important milestone for the development of the area and public welfare.

Deputy Commissioner Ziarat Abdul Quddus Achakzai, Haji Ghaus Panizai, Engineer Abdul Salam, District Chairman Abdul Sattar Kakar, Deputy Chairman Habibullah Panizai, Haji Raz Muhammad Dumar and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.

During the ceremony, Engineer Abdul Salam gave a detailed briefing to the minister about various aspects of the project, development works and future strategies under the master plan.

He said that this project would play an important role in further improving educational and medical facilities in the area.

The provincial minister said that the government was taking practical steps for the welfare of the people and such projects were the backbone of the development of the area.

He appreciated the performance of all the concerned institutions and directed to complete the project on time saying that the establishment of Quaid-e-Azam Nursing College would prove to be an important educational and medical facility for the Ziarat district and surrounding areas.

He said that through this institution, local students and especially women would get opportunities to get quality nursing education in their area, which could provide them with better employment opportunities.

He noted that nursing staff trained from the Nursing College would be able to perform their services in local hospitals and medical centers, which would result in improvement in the quality of health facilities.

The hostel facility will create convenience for students coming from far-flung areas, while this institution will also help in introducing the Ziarat district as an important center of health and medical education in the future, he concluded.

At the end of the ceremony, a tea party was also organized in honor of the provincial food minister and other distinguished guests.
