Forces foil Taliban infiltration bid

ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan armed forces successfully foiled a major infiltration attempt of Afghan Taliban and Fitna al Khwarij terrorists in the border area of Mawaz Kalay of North Waziristan by taking timely action.

Security sources said that the Afghan Taliban were planning to enter into Pakistan's soil. However, owing to effective operation by the Pakistan army, several Afghan Taliban were killed, while others fled after abandoning their posts.

They said the army also destroyed compounds and hideouts of Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khwarij. They stressed that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until its objectives are achieved.
