Forest department launches tree plantation drive at Abbottabad University of S & T

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) The Forest Department Hazara Tuesday organized a tree plantation campaign at Abbottabad University of Science

and Technology. Professors, administrative staff, and students of the university actively participated in the drive.

Officials from the Forest Department Lower Hazara, including Sardar Farhad Ali, along with other officers and staff, were present during the event.

A larger plantation program has also been announced for March 23.

Speaking to the media, the Forest Department officials said the campaign has been launched and will continue. They urged students, traders, civil society members, and the general public to join the initiative, emphasizing the need to make the country clean and green.

The Forest Department also expressed gratitude to the administration and students of AUST for their support and cooperation in making the campaign successful.
