Former DSP, Excise Inspector robbed in Hyd

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) A retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and an ex-Excise Inspector were robbed of cash and mobile phones in the Cattle Colony area in the limits of Husri police station here on Thursday.

The police informed that both ex-DSP Muhammad Ahmed Qureshi and ex-Inspector Anwar Zaidi were going to their cattle pen when they were intercepted by 3 armed men riding on a motorbike.The police added that the robbers also fired aerial gunshots during the robbery and snatched the key of Qureshi's car so that they could not chase the suspects.The police told that they have received CCTV footage of the incident.The incident's FIR could not be registered by the evening.
