Foundation stone laid for reconstruction of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur boundary wall

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Mar, 2026) MNA Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has stated that Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur has played a significant role in the development of the region.

He expressed these views while laying the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the boundary wall of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur.

He said that this national institution has consistently contributed to the economic, agricultural, and cultural development of the region, which is a matter of pride. He added that Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur not only serves as a source of information and guidance for the public but also plays a key role in promoting local culture and heritage.

The foundation stone unveiling ceremony was attended by Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh, President of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Zafar Sharif, Station Director Sajjad Ahmed Bari, Deputy Controller Radio Headquarters Islamabad Imran Javed, trader leaders Haji Muhammad Ejaz and Abdul Waheed Noonari, along with other dignitaries.

Speaking to the media, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said that the government is taking serious steps to improve and rehabilitate national institutions, adding that Radio Pakistan is being modernized in line with contemporary requirements.
