Four hotels sealed in Murree over safety violations

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) District administration in Murree has sealed four hotels for failing to implement mandatory safety measures, following directives of Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi.

According to official sources, the action was taken against hotels and a guest house that did not comply with safety SOPs issued to ensure protection of tourists.

The sealed properties include Move and Pick Hotel, Hotel Hamdan, Woodberry Hotel and AM Guest House. Officials said hotel owners had been instructed earlier to implement safety measures and were also provided awareness in this regard, but violations persisted.

Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi said no one would be allowed to endanger human lives, adding that strict enforcement of safety SOPs was essential to ensure tourist safety.
