Four injured as overspeeding car falls into river on Canal Road

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) At least four people were injured and drowned on Sunday when a driver lost control of his car and it plunged into a river near Canal Road Lahore.

According to rescue sources, the vehicle lost control, veered off the road and crashed into the canal due to overspeeding, resulting in a serious accident on Canal Road, private news channel reported.

Rescue officials said the impact of the crash left four people injured, prompting an immediate emergency response at the scene. Teams quickly reached the spot and carried out the rescue operation.

The injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for urgent medical treatment, where their condition is being closely monitored by doctors.
