Four members of a family were killed and two others injured when a motorcycle hit an oil tanker near Sanawan. According to Rescue 1122 officials, the motorcycle carrying six people was traveling from Adda 1-R towards Sanawan when it hit the oil tanker. As a result, two women, a child and a man died on the spot, while two girls suffered injuries. Rescue 1122 emergency teams reached the spot, secured the area and provided first aid to the injured before shifting them to the Rural Health Centre in Sanawan for treatment. The bodies were covered and transported to a hospital for legal formalities. Officials said 41-year-old Naseer, seven-year-old Ali Hassan, 50-year-old Riaz Bibi and 25-year-old Insha Bibi had died in the accident, while13-year-old Samina and one-year-old Ayesha were injured. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the death of the four victims in the incident. In a statement, she conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for strength and patience for them to bear the loss. The chief minister also expressed sorrow over the death of 11 passengers in a collision between a bus travelling from Bahawalpur to Karachi and a trailer in Sindh.
