Initial reports said that unidentified assailants opened fire on a police team, leaving four policemen wounded.

The injured personnel were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Following the attack, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace and apprehend the attackers.
