Free bus service benefits over 110,000 citizens in Sialkot

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Sialkot Muzaffar Mukhtar said over 110,000 citizens

had benefited from the free inter-tehsil bus service launched on April 10.

During visits to different routes, he said the initiative aims to ease commuting amid rising fuel

prices and provide better transport facilities.

He said 35 buses were operating on four routes across the district, including 14 buses each

on Sialkot-Daska and Sialkot-Pasrur routes, while seven buses were running on the Sialkot-Sambrial

route.

The buses operate daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, with each bus covering an average distance of around 200 kilometres.
