Free eye treatment provided under Sehat Card

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Over the past ten years free ophthalmology eye treatment services have been provided to thousands of citizens under the Sehat Insaf Card initiative at public and private hospitals.

Official figures show that a total of 190889 patients benefited from free eye treatment during the period from 31-12-2015 to 31-12-2025.

The total cost incurred on these treatments stood at Rs 3012 million.

The program aimed at ensuring access to essential eye care services for citizens without imposing any financial burden and helped improve healthcare coverage across the province.
