Friday observed as Thanksgiving Day

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The Ulema Council Pakistan (UCP) observed Friday as Thanksgiving Day to mark the ceasefire and proposed peace negotiations in Islamabad.

Addressing a Juma congregation at Jamia Masjid Gol in Ghulam Muhammad Abad, UCP Chairman Sahibzada Zahid Mahmood Qasmi said that Pakistan’s stature had been elevated due to its tireless efforts in facilitating dialogue between concerned parties.

He termed bringing both sides to the negotiation table a significant achievement and described hosting international stakeholders as an honor for the country.

He expressed gratitude over the reported success of diplomatic efforts and prayed for stability and harmony in the region.
