TANK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) The funeral prayers of two police constables and a forest guard, who embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack on the Manji Khel Check Post in Tank district, were offered with full state honours at the Police Lines Tank on Friday.
The martyrs were identified as Police Constable Bilal Khan, Police Constable Tala Muhammad, and Forest Guard Noor Azam of the Forest Department.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Tariq Saeed Marwat, Additional Inspector General of Police (CTD) Jawad Qamar, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ghulam Mubashir Maken, Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Daud Khan, District Police Officer (DPO) Tank Abdul Samad Khan, Deputy Commissioner Tank Jamshed Khan, along with senior civil and police officials, relatives of the martyrs, police personnel and local elders attended the funeral.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Floral wreaths were laid on the coffins of the martyrs, while a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a ceremonial salute. Special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyrs' ranks, the speedy recovery of the injured personnel, and lasting peace and stability in the country.
Later, the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Chief Secretary, accompanied by senior police and administrative officials of Dera Ismail Khan and Tank, visited the injured personnel who had sustained injuries in the terrorist attack.
The officials met Constable Ismatullah, Constable Jaseem Khan, Constable Daud Khan, and Constable Pir Ghulam, praised their courage and bravery, and announced financial assistance for the injured personnel.
The senior officials also listened to the concerns and suggestions of the injured policemen and assured them that all possible measures would be taken for their welfare and to address their issues on a priority basis.
