Gang involved in sexual exploitation of female students busted

LAYYAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) A gang allegedly involved in the sexual exploitation and blackmail of female students linked to an e-commerce training institute has been exposed and arrested by police.

District Police Officer Hassan Javed Bhatti took strict notice of the case, following which City Police arrested a suspect identified as Mudassar and registered a case.

According to police sources, the gang lured female students with promises of jobs, a luxurious lifestyle, and marriage. They allegedly recorded immoral videos and used them to blackmail the victims.

During initial interrogation, the arrested suspect confessed to the scheme.

Authorities have recovered audio and video evidence from his mobile phone, which has been sent to a forensic laboratory for analysis.

DPO Bhatti stated that further investigation would proceed in light of the forensic report, ensuring a transparent and merit-based inquiry. He added that efforts are underway to arrest other members of the gang.

He vowed that all those involved would face strict legal action and be brought to justice. The DPO also reaffirmed that, in line with the Punjab Chief Minister’s vision, the protection of women would be ensured at all costs.
