Gangsters held, 6 stolen motorcycles recovered

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Rawalpindi Police on Monday arrested three suspects involved in motorcycle theft and street crime and recovered six stolen motorcycles, a snatched mobile phone and cash amounting to Rs. 23,500.0 during separate operations in the Rawal Division.

According to a police spokesman, Sadiqabad police arrested two members of a gang involved in motorcycle theft and snatching incidents and recovered six stolen motorcycles along with Rs. 2,000.0 cash.

In another action, New Town police arrested a suspect involved in mobile snatching and recovered a stolen mobile phone and Rs.

21,500.0 obtained from the sale of snatched phones.

SP Rawal Saad Arshad said the accused would be challaned in court with solid evidence, adding that those attacking citizens’ lives and property could not escape the law.

Meanwhile, police also detained five individuals during separate operations and recovered 15 litres of liquor and illegal weapons with ammunition. Police said strict action against narcotics and illegal arms would continue.
