Gas Leak Triggers Explosion in Agriculture Complex, One Hurt

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) An 85-year-old man was injured in a gas cylinder blast that occurred in a flat in here on Wednesday.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson Dilbar Halepoto, the incident took place in a flat located in Block F of the Agriculture Complex, where gas had accumulated due to an open cylinder valve. The explosion occurred when the victim lit a cigarette.

Rescue teams reached the scene promptly after receiving information and brought the situation under control, clearing the affected area.

The injured, identified as Muhammad Arif, was shifted to the civil hospital in a Rescue 1122 ambulance for medical treatment.

The spokesperson added that the victim was alone in the flat at the time of the incident, as the children had gone to school while other family members were in the village.
