GB minister pays tributes to security forces' personnel killed in Muzaffarabad helicopter crash

ASTORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Information Technology , Ghulam Abbas on Thursday expressed profound sorrow over the helicopter crash in Muzaffarabad and said the nation would never forget the sacrifices made by personnel of the Pakistan Army for the country.

In a statement issued here, Abbas said news of the deaths of army personnel in the tragic incident had plunged the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, along with the rest of the country, into mourning.

He said the sacrifices rendered by officers and soldiers in the defence, security and stability of the country were "unforgettable", adding that those who lost their lives while performing their duties had set enduring examples of patriotism, devotion and selflessness.

"The entire nation salutes the immense sacrifices of its martyrs and will always remember their services with respect and gratitude," he said.
