GCU Chiniot holds rally to honor armed forces on ‘Operation Banyan Marsus’ anniversary

Government College University Campus Chiniot on Wednesday organized a rally to mark the first anniversary of the success of “Operation Banyan Marsus,” with students and faculty paying tribute to the Pakistani Armed Forces and expressing solidarity with national defenders

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Government College University Campus Chiniot on Wednesday organized a rally to mark the first anniversary of the success of “Operation Banyan Marsus,” with students and faculty paying tribute to the Pakistani Armed Forces and expressing solidarity with national defenders.

Campus Director Dr. Falak Sher Khokhar, faculty members and a large number of students participated in the rally, carrying national flags and banners while chanting slogans in support of Pakistan and its armed forces. The event reflected patriotic enthusiasm and unity among participants.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Falak Sher Khokhar said the success of “Operation Banyan Marsus” demonstrated the professionalism, courage and determination of the Pakistani Armed Forces. He said the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the military and remained united for the country’s defense and security.

Special prayers were offered at the conclusion of the rally for the peace, security and stability of the country as well as for the martyrs. Students also reaffirmed their commitment to making every sacrifice for the defense and integrity of the homeland.
