GCWUS organises biography competition

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) The Department of Mathematics, Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS), on Friday organised a Biography Competition under the platform of Irtiqa Mathematical Society, a release of the varsity said.

The event was held under the kind guidance of Dr. Hira Tariq, In-charge Department of Mathematics, and under the leadership of society coordinators Ms. Tayyaba Akhtar and Ms. Ayesha Iftikhar.

The competition aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the lives, struggles, and remarkable achievements of renowned mathematicians, inspiring them through the legacy of great minds in the field of Mathematics.

Students enthusiastically presented biographies of famous mathematicians, highlighting their valuable contributions and groundbreaking achievements in Mathematics.

The participating teams demonstrated outstanding creativity, confidence, presentation skills, and thorough research.

During the closing ceremony, certificates were awarded to active society members and participants in recognition of their dedication and valuable contribution to the successful management of the event.
