BEOE advice job seekers to use official recruitment channels and avoid agents or intermediaries offering fake jobs or visa schemes

The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has informed Pakistani workers about a legal pathway to work and live in Germany.

The opportunity is available for skilled professionals as Germany continues to face labor shortages in several sectors. According to the Bureau, applicants must have a recognized technical, vocational, or professional qualification. Their education and training must also be officially recognized in Germany or considered equal to German standards.

A valid job offer from a German employer is required before applying for a residence permit. The job must match the applicant qualifications, skills, or professional training. The pathway is only for skilled workers and does not apply to unskilled or assistant level jobs.

The Bureau said some professions have additional requirements. Healthcare workers, including doctors and nurses, may need official recognition, licensing, or approval from German authorities before they can start work.

Officials clarified that the skilled worker residence permit is not a new visa program. It is an existing legal immigration route available to qualified foreign professionals, including Pakistanis.

The announcement does not include specific job vacancies, salary details, or application deadlines. The Bureau advised applicants to verify their qualifications and job offers before beginning the process. It also urged job seekers to use official recruitment channels and avoid agents or intermediaries offering fake jobs or visa schemes.
