GHQ to host Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq ceremony honouring Pakistan Armed forces

Pakistan Army leadership is set to convene at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Sunday for a prestigious and solemn ceremony marking the first anniversary of Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq the “Battle of Truth,” a symbol of national resilience, courage, and unwavering defence of the homeland.

The high-profile event scheduled to commence at 8:40am will witness the participation of the country’s top military commanders in a powerful demonstration of unity, discipline, and tribute to the martyrs who rendered the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation.

The ceremony will be graced by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, as the chief guest. He will be joined by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with senior leadership from all three services. Their presence will reflect the unshakable cohesion and operational harmony among Pakistan’s armed forces.

According to official details the service chiefs will lay floral wreaths at the revered Yadgar-e-Shuhada memorial to honour the brave sons of the soil who embraced martyrdom while safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.

Elegantly turned-out contingents of the army, navy, and air force will present a ceremonial salute, embodying the highest traditions of military professionalism, valour, and patriotism.

Field Marshal Asim Munir is also expected to address the distinguished gathering, reaffirming the armed forces’ steadfast commitment to national security, territorial defence, and the preservation of peace and stability. The occasion is being viewed as a resolute message that any hostile designs against Pakistan will be met with a swift, firm, and decisive response.
