Gilani expresses deep condolences on passing away of Pir Syed Mehr Farid-ul-Haq Gilani

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Thursday, expressed profound sorrow and grief over the passing of Pir Syed Mehr Farid-ul-Haq Gilani, the eldest son of Pir Syed Moin-ul-Haq Gilani, the spiritual leader of Darbar Ghausia Golra Sharif.

In a show of solidarity and to offer condolences, the Chairman of the Senate visited Golra Sharif, where he met with the bereaved family and followers of the late Pir.

During the visit, he conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and stood in unity with those mourning the loss.

The Chairman Senate described Pir Syed Mehr Farid-ul-Haq Gilani as an eminent spiritual leader and a distinguished religious figure who devoted his life to the service of islam, the propagation of faith, and the welfare of humanity.

He remarked that the passing of the Pir has left a significant void in religious and spiritual circles that will be deeply felt for years to come. He paid tribute to the late Pir’s religious, spiritual, and social contributions, emphasising that his guidance and efforts toward social reform will always be remembered.

He further stated that the loss was a major tragedy for the spiritual community and that personalities of such calibre are irreplaceable. Chairman of the Senate prayed for the elevation of the late Pir’s ranks, his forgiveness, and for patience and resilience for the grieving family, assuring that he stands in solidarity with mourners and devotees during this difficult time.
