Gilani visits Khosa House to offer condolences

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday visited Khosa House in Dera Ghazi Khan to offer condolences over the death of former Punjab governor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa.

During the visit, he paid tribute to the late leader and praised his political and social services, calling him a respected and dignified figure.

Speaking to the media, Gilani also talked about recent diplomatic developments and described the day as very important in Pakistan’s history.

He said Pakistan’s involvement in talks with the United States was a major success and expressed hope for positive results from ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States.

He said successful talks would benefit the whole world and added that Pakistan has played an important role in efforts to prevent a global conflict.

Gilani said Pakistan’s international standing has improved, adding that the country’s firm response to India has further strengthened its position.

He added that recent developments have improved Pakistan’s global image and diplomatic importance.
