Girls Cadet College DI Khan set for early launch with interim campus plan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) The establishment of Girls Cadet College Dera, Ismail Khan has entered a key implementation phase, with authorities finalizing arrangements to ensure the timely start of classes and provision of essential facilities for students.

Commissioner Dera Division, Daud Khan, chaired a meeting to review the progress regarding infrastructure, staffing, and academic readiness of the institution.

The session was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance) Farhan Khan, Principal Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) College, District Education Officer (Female), Principal Mufti Mehmood Public school and College, Assistant to Commissioner (Political and Development) Sajjad Baloch, and other relevant officials.

The meeting discussed measures to ensure the early commencement of academic activities and directed that building arrangements be completed on an emergency basis.

The commissioner emphasized that providing a quality educational environment for female students remains a top government priority, and all available resources must be utilized.

The recruitment process was also ordered to be expedited, with instructions to finalize appointments promptly to avoid any disruption in academic and administrative functions. The merit and transparency must be ensured, the commissioner noted.

It was decided that classes would initially be conducted in the available building of the RPDC. To avoid inconvenience to RPDC, additional space will be provided at Mufti Mehmood Hostel, enabling both institutions to operate smoothly.

The officials highlighted that the establishment of the Girls Cadet College will serve as a major step forward in promoting female education in the region. They expressed commitment to aligning the institution with modern educational standards while ensuring quality residential and academic facilities for students.

The commissioner also directed authorities to prepare comprehensive plans for security, transport, and other essential services at the earliest stage, adding that the district administration will extend full support to make the project a success.
