Global recognition highlights Pakistan’s commitment to peace: minister

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Mansha Ullah Butt, addressed a large public gathering in Union Council Hararlr, stating that Pakistan has played a highly positive and responsible role in promoting peace amid recent regional tensions, a contribution that is being widely appreciated at the global level.

The minister said that the effective diplomacy of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the wise leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir played a significant role in saving the region from a major disaster.

He added that the recognition of Pakistan’s efforts by international leaders is clear evidence of the country’s serious and proactive commitment to peace and stability.

Butt highlighted that recent developments, particularly the ceasefire in the middle East and the resumption of negotiations, reflect Pakistan’s diplomatic success.

He emphasized that Pakistan has consistently adhered to a policy of peace, dialogue, and mutual respect.

He said that the government is promoting the welfare of the people as well as promoting Pakistan's positive image at the global level. He said that on such occasions, the entire nation should unite and support the country's leadership so that Pakistan can move forward on the path of further development and stability.

At the end of the gathering, he reiterated the commitment that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is working day and night for the development of the people of the province and has launched dozens of initiatives during her short tenure, the fruits of which are benefiting millions of families.
