The upward movement in domestic rates followed gains in international market, where gold prices rose by $48 to settle at $4,493 per ounce
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 28th, 2026) Gold prices in Pakistan surged to Rs472,062 per tola on Saturday after registering a sharp increase of Rs4,800 in the local market.
All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association said that the price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs4,116, reaching Rs404,717.
The upward movement in domestic rates followed gains in the international market, where gold prices rose by $48 to settle at $4,493 per ounce.
The increase comes a day after a decline in prices.
On Friday, gold had dropped by Rs1,000 per tola to Rs467,262, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs858 to Rs400,601.
Earlier, on Thursday, the market had witnessed a significant fall of Rs11,000 per tola, bringing the price down to Rs468,262, in line with a decrease in global rates, where gold slipped to $4,445 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded a decline, falling by Rs30 per tola to Rs7,454.
