Gold prices fall sharply by Rs.7,100 per tola

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a notable decline on Thursday, as the rate of 24-karat gold per tola dropped to Rs. 486,962, marking a decrease of Rs. 7,100 in a single day from the previous day’s Rs. 494,062, according to the latest rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 6,087 to Rs. 417,491 from Rs. 423,578, while 22-karat gold decreased by Rs.

5,580 to Rs. 382,713 from Rs. 388,293.

In the international market, gold prices also edged lower, reaching $4,642 per ounce, down $71 from the previous day’s $4,713.

Silver prices followed the downward trend in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola decreased to Rs. 7,634, down by Rs. 350, while 10 grams of silver were recorded at Rs. 6,544, showing a decline of Rs. 300.

International silver prices also slipped to $71.50, down $3.5, the association reported.
