Gold Prices Hit New Record High After Massive Increase

PAKISTAN: All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported another major increase in gold prices in both local and international markets.

According to the association, the price of gold in the local market surged by Rs11,100 per tola, bringing the new price to Rs488,962 per tola.

Karachi’s gold market has seen a massive jump today. According to the latest data from the Karachi Jewelers Association, the official price for 24K gold has climbed to Rs. 484,000 per tola. For jewelry-grade metal, the 22K gold rate is currently trading at Rs. 443,781 per tola across the city’s major markets.

Here is the current breakdown for different weights in the local Sarafa Bazar:

• 24K Gold (1 Tola): Rs. 484,000
• 24K Gold (10 Grams): Rs. 414,952
• 24K Gold (1 Gram): Rs. 41,495
• 22K Gold (1 Tola): Rs. 443,781
• 22K Gold (10 Grams): Rs. 380,486
• 21K Gold (1 Tola): Rs. 423,500

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs9,517 to reach Rs419,206. Meanwhile, the price of silver also rose by Rs223 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs8,072 per tola.

In the international market, the price of gold increased by $111 per ounce, reaching a new level of $4,666 per ounce.
