Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS),NBP agree to enhance bilateral relationship

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) A high-level meeting between Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) and the National Bank of Pakistan was held at the vice chancellor’s office to discuss avenues for enhanced institutional collaboration, a statement said on Friday.

According to a spokesperson,Vice Chancellor(VC),Prof Dr.Shazia Bashir and National Bank of Pakistan(NBP) Regional Head Idrees-ud-Din Khawaja led the meeting which was attended by senior officials from both sides.

The participants discussed strengthening mutual ties and explored short,medium and long-term cooperation in areas such as financial facilitation,capacity building and social development.

Speaking on the occasion,the VC appreciated the prime minister’s Apna Ghar Program,saying it could help expand home ownership opportunities for the middle class,particularly university faculty and staff.

She urged employees to benefit from the initiative.

Senior bank officials and university representatives,including administrative and finance heads were also present.

Both sides agreed to translate the proposed collaboration into practical steps aimed at promoting institutional growth and social development.
