Governor Balochistan praises women doctors at ‘Fakhar-e-Balochistan, performance lady doctor awards

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail reaffirmed his strong commitment to women’s education and empowerment while addressing the Fakhar-e-Balochistan, performance lady doctor Award organized by Balochistan Women Promote Talent at the Iranian Cultural Center.

In his speech, the Governor said he has always been a staunch supporter of quality education and development for women, beginning with his own family where he emphasized the education and upbringing of his daughters. “I wanted them to become role models for the new generation and to respect other women,” he noted.

Jaffar Mandokhail highlighted that the award program was a collective effort to honor and encourage women doctors of Balochistan.

He stressed that economic independence is the foundation that enables women to safeguard their rights and exercise authority. “I am proud to be part of this initiative which celebrates the services, talents, and sacrifices of women in our society,” he added.

Governor Mandokhail praised women doctors as “true healers” serving tirelessly from operating theaters to research labs, community clinics to rural health centers, all contributing to the vision of a healthier and prosperous Balochistan.

He emphasized that Balochistan’s women are second to none in talent and determination, and must be provided with equal opportunities and facilities to advance.

He further stated that promoting sports, education, and professional opportunities for women strengthens national unity and positive social engagement. “Today we not only pay tribute to their professional services but also express hope that they will continue their dedicated work in the future,” he said.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Governor Mandokhail distributed awards among women doctors and professionals from other fields, while commemorative shields were presented to distinguished guests.
