Governor grieved over Kalam boat tragedy

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jul, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the boat accident at Saifullah Lake in the Kalam area of Upper Swat.

The Governor expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy with the bereaved families over the loss of precious lives in the incident.

He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and for courage and patience for the grieving families.

Governor Kundi directed the relevant authorities to further intensify the rescue and search operation for the missing persons and ensure that the operation continues until the last missing individual is recovered.

He also stressed the need for strict enforcement of safety measures and boating regulations at tourist destinations to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
