Governor KP, federal minister discuss security, cancer diagnostic facilities

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday met Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and discussed the law and order situation in the province, political affairs, and issues related to public welfare and development.

During the meeting, both leaders reviewed plans for the provision of modern cancer diagnostic equipment at Dinar Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan and agreed to ensure the early availability of advanced diagnostic facilities for cancer patients.

They also exchanged views on ongoing and proposed development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the federal and provincial governments for the province’s progress.

Governor Kundi stressed the need for effective coordination between the federation and provinces, saying that federal support was vital for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the welfare of its people.

He said the installation of modern cancer diagnostic facilities at Dinar Hospital would benefit patients from several districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by providing them with improved access to specialized healthcare services.

The Governor said cooperation between the federal and provincial governments was indispensable for development and public welfare, adding that the provision of better healthcare facilities remained among the government's key priorities.
