Governor KP meets Talpur, discusses political and administrative issues

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi called on senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Faryal Talpur here on Thursday, where they discussed the overall political situation and administrative matters of the province.

During the meeting, Governor Kundi highlighted concerns over what he described as poor administrative performance of the provincial government and the role of opposition parties in the region’s political landscape.

Both leaders also exchanged views on holding divisional-level youth and workers conventions as well as political inclusion and joining ceremonies across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Faryal Talpur appreciated the initiative of youth conventions in the province and expressed satisfaction over the successful organization of the youth convention in Peshawar.

Governor Kundi also discussed issues faced by workers and concerns related to the province arising from difficulties linked to the Federal setup.

He said that the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its southern districts had worsened, alleging that the provincial government had failed to effectively address the rising threat of militancy, which he said had adversely affected public life.

He further said that restrictions on wheat supply from Punjab had contributed to an increase in bread prices in the province, warning of a potential future crisis.

The Governor also raised concerns over the closure of CNG stations, saying it had caused significant inconvenience to the public and added to their hardships.
