Governor vows to promote quality education & development for women

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that the government has been focusing on quality education and the development of women in the province since the beginning to empower them.

“I have laid special emphasis on the education and training of my daughters in my family so that they go ahead and respect not only other women but also set an exemplary example for the new generation. Today, all of us, including the provincial ministers, have come together to encourage and honor the Dukhtar Balochistan Lady Doctors”, he said.

He expressed these views while addressing the participants of the Dukhtar Balochistan Award Program organized by Balochistan Women Promote Talent at the Iranian Cultural Center.

On this occasion, provincial ministers including Mir Saleem Khosa, Mir Asim Kurd Gelu, Haji Muhammad Khan Lehri, Haji Barkat Rind, Director General Iranian Cultural Center Abu Al-Hasan, Additional Secretary Raja Attar Abbas, Dr. Faris Rind and Syed Shahzeb Raza, along with a large number of senior lady doctors and women, were present.

The Governor said that economic independence is the foundation that enables any woman to secure her own and others’ rights and privileges.

“I am proud to be a part of this award program organized by Balochistan Women Promote Talent, which highlights the services, capabilities and sacrifices of women in our society” , he said.

Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that we uphold the glorious national values and traditions, we respect all women, whether they are mothers, daughters, sisters or wives saying that our women doctors are true messiahs, serving patients day and night, from operation theatres to research laboratories, from community clinics to rural health centres, they are rendering excellent services under the vision of a healthy and prosperous Balochistan.

Mandokhel said that the women of Balochistan are second to none in talent and determination, the need is to provide them with equal opportunities and facilities to move forward.

He said that today, we not only pay tribute to their professional services, but we also express our hope and expect that they would continue to serve with the same dedication in the future.

The Governor of Balochistan congratulated you on the success of this program and appreciated the performance of these extraordinary women.

Finally, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel presented awards to the Dukhtar Balochistan Lady Doctors and women from other fields of life, while commemorative shields were distributed among the guests.
