SANGHAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Member of the National Assembly Salahuddin Junejo has said that the government of Pakistan firmly believes in diplomatic engagement and is committed to promoting peace and stability in the region, adding that the country also wishes progress and success for Iran.
He expressed these views while speaking at a “Meet the Press” programme held at the Press Club Tando Adam. On the occasion, Mazhar Hussain Junejo, Rais Zahid Hussain Umrani, K.B. Jatoi and others were also present, while a large number of office-bearers of the press club and senior journalists attended the event
Mr Junejo said that the challenges faced by the country could only be addressed through serious and positive policies. Referring to his constituency, he said that several development projects related to roads, drainage, education, health and other basic facilities had been completed in a large constituency comprising around 1.1 million population, including Tando Adam, Shahdadpur and Sinjhoro, while work on additional schemes was progressing at a fast pace.
He said that provision of basic amenities and development of the area remained his top priority, adding that public service was the aim of his politics and he remained committed to resolving the issues of his constituents.
He further vowed to extend development works to every town and village of the constituency to ensure maximum facilities for the people.
Talking to journalists, Mr Junejo said that a free and responsible press was essential for the strengthening of democracy. He assured that the issues being faced by the Press Club Tando Adam (registered) would be addressed on a priority basis and that the journalist community would be extended full support.
He said journalists were the eyes and ears of society and it was the responsibility of the government to resolve their problems. He also emphasised that the protection of Sindh’s culture and the welfare of the people of his constituency were a legacy that would be upheld at all costs.
Among those present were Press Club President Rana Mukhtar, General Secretary Ashiq Hussain Saand, Vice President Razzaq Dino, Munawar Qureshi, and senior journalists including Waseem Farooqi, Sheeraz Samoon, Umar Farooq Qureshi, Javed Mustafa, Ahmed Ramzani, Rana Suleman and Achar Saand.
